FLOW is set to revolutionize the skateboarding experience in Taupo with the introduction of new features and surface enhancements. As part of the overall redevelopment project, FLOW has meticulously crafted and installed two new products, including a transitioned ledge with an adjacent manual pad in corten steel and a standard round hot dip galvanized steel rail. These additions have been strategically placed to create engaging lines on the northern side of the skatepark, further enhancing the area's appeal to skateboarders of all skill levels. Additionally, FLOW has utilized their cutting-edge FLOW Resurfacing Product to extend the park and provide a high-quality concrete surface for optimum performance.
Features Installed:
- Transitioned Ledge and Adjacent Manual Pad in Corten Steel: One of the standout features of the revamped Taupo Skatepark is the transitioned ledge in corten steel, designed and installed by FLOW. This innovative feature combines functionality with aesthetic appeal, creating an ideal spot for skateboarders to showcase their skills. The transitioned ledge offers a smooth surface, allowing skaters to perform a variety of tricks, slides, and grinds with ease. Adjacent to the ledge is a manual pad, providing riders with the opportunity to practice balancing maneuvers and technical tricks.
